
Mrs. Jeannie Chantay Wilson, 50, of Corbin, passed away Wednesday morning, February 19, 2025 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington. She was the daughter of Mary Francis Smith Hibbard and the late Jimmie Hibbard born July 6, 1974 in Barbourville.
Jeannie was a former research analyst with Immigration and Customs Enforcement and attended the Savoy Church of God. She enjoyed reading, studying her bible and going to the beach, especially anniversary trips to St. Augustine, FL. She also loved to color, crochet and cook. Most of all, she cherished time spent with her family.
On September 19, 1992, she united in marriage with Lonnie Ray Wilson and this union was blessed with the birth of a daughter.
In addition to her father, Jimmie, she was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Lonnie B. Wilson.
Survivors include her loving husband, Lonnie Wilson of Corbin; daughter, Amber Nicole Wilson of Corbin; mother, Mary Francis Hibbard of Barbourville; sisters, Susie Lynn Brown of Gray, Deana Gayle and Joseph Maggard of Tazewell, TN and Ashley Carpenter and husband, Dustin, of Barbourville; among other loved ones and dear friends.
A gathering of family of friends will be held in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Sunday, February 23 between 2 and 4 P.M.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
