Ms. Shelia Kay Williamson, 50, of Mills, passed away Thursday afternoon, May 27, 2021 at her home. She was the daughter of Thomas “Tommy” Ray Carnes and the late Doris Jean Davis Carnes born on October 13, 1970 in Pineville.
Shelia was a former Warner’s employee and of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed fishing, tending flowers, arts and crafts and loved keeping up with family and friends through social media. She dearly loved her pet dog, Doodle Bug.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her special companion of many years, Rondal Owens.
Survivors include her loving father, Tommy Carnes of Mills; a sister, Katrina Carnes of Mills; a brother, Terry Carnes and wife, Sheila, of Corbin; a young man she loved as a grandson, Cameron Owens and wife, Mercedes; four nephews, Jonathan, Christopher and Daniel Carnes and Jeffery Carnes and wife, Ashley; a great nephew, Benjamin; among other loved ones and dear friends.
Her funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Friday, June 4 at 2 P.M. with Rev. A. Y. Mills officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Mills Cemetery.
Casket bearers will be Jonathan Carnes, Jeffery Carnes, Cameron Owens, Barry Carnes, Gary Collins and Jerry Lee Mills.
Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday between 6 and 8 P.M. and Friday prior to the funeral hour.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
