Mr. Darrell Lee Warren, 34, of Barbourville, passed away Wednesday morning, January 13, 2021 at his home. He was the son of Brenda Faye Smith Warren and the late Buster Warren born on April 7, 1986 in Pineville.
Darrell was a self-employed truck driver and a member of the Springfield Baptist Church. He enjoyed dirt racing, NASCAR, University of Alabama football, University of Kentucky basketball and spending time with family and friends.
On April 11, 2009, he united in marriage with Rachel Meeks in Knox County.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Gene Meeks.
Survivors include his loving mother, Brenda Faye Warren of Barbourville; cherished wife, Rachel Warren of Barbourville; step-daughter, Emily Meeks of Corbin; a brother and sister-in-law, Greg and Valerie Warren of Barbourville; nieces and their spouses, Ashley and Shawn Fugate II of Pineville, Hannah Owens of Barbourville and Cassie and Cole Frazier of Barbourville; a nephew, Matthew Bradlee Warren of Barbourville; a great niece and great nephew, Alyssa and Brody Fugate; mother-in-law, Sandra Meeks of Davis Bend; a brother-in-law, Billy Gene Meeks of Davis Bend; among other loved ones and dear friends.
A graveside memorial service will be conducted in the Warren Cemetery at Caney Gap Sunday, January 17 at 2 P.M. with Rev. Michael Jackson officiating.
Family and friends will meet at the funeral home Sunday at 1 P.M. and go together in procession to the cemetery for the service.
