Mr. Ricky Trent, 64, of Flat Lick, passed away Friday afternoon, February 21, 2025 at the Barbourville ARH Hospital.  He was the son of the late Curtis Dale and Elizabeth Hughes Trent born on December 18, 1960 in Barbourville.

Ricky was a former technician with DirectTV.  He was known for his old fashion country cooking and enjoyed playing the guitar and drums.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Trent.

Survivors include his daughter, Ashley Thompson of Danville; a brother, Eric Allen Trent of Flat Lick; grandchildren, Ashton, Talon and Kaiah; among other loved ones and dear friends.

His funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Wednesday, February 26 at 2 P.M. with Rev. William R. “Man” Cobb and Rev. Vernon Morris officiating.  He will be laid to rest in the Payne Cemetery.

Casket bearers will be Jeff Blevins, Terry Bullock, Randy Wilson, Christopher Hubbard, Justin Morris and Donnie Morris.

Friends may visit at the funeral home Wednesday after 12 Noon until the funeral hour.

Should one wish to assist the family with funeral expenses, payments may be made to the funeral home.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
