Mrs. Carla Jean Trent, 47, of Green Road, passed away Wednesday afternoon, May 26, 2021 at the Barbourville ARH Hospital. She was the daughter of Betty Vaughn Yeager and the late Allen Yeager born on July 17, 1973 in Knox County.
Carla was a substance abuse counselor with Recovery Works and of the Baptist faith. She loved to draw, write and shop. Carla was always kind, dearly loved her nieces and nephews and treasured time spent with family and friends.
On January 28, 2018, she united in marriage with Scottie Trent.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Louise and Elmer Yeager and Garrett and Helen Vaughn.
Survivors include her loving husband, Scottie Trent of Green Road; her mother, Betty Yeager of Gray; a sister, Cindy Broughton of Gray; a brother, Chuck Yeager and wife, Serenia, of Bimble; niece and nephew, Caitlin and Nathan Yeager; among other loved ones and dear friends.
Her funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Wednesday, June 2 at 2 P.M. with Rev. William R. “Man” Cobb and Rev. Rick Thomas officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Nan Riley Cemetery.
Casket bearers will be family and friends. Honorary bearers will be Mary Burnette and Dr. Barbara Michna.
Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday between 6 and 8 P.M. and Wednesday prior to the funeral hour.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
