Mrs. Dorothy Jackson Smith, 85, of Lily, the widow of Archie Smith Jr., passed away Monday morning, March 23, 2020 at her home.  She was the daughter of the late Bob and Mattie Gray Jackson born on June 17, 1935 at Flat Lick.

Dorothy was a former nurse aide with the Pineville Communtiy Hospital and of the Baptist faith.  She enjoyed gardening and sewing.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Frank Jackson.

Survivors include her loving children, Tommy Smith of Corbin and Dorothy Black and husband, Jimmy, of Danville; two grandchildren; among other loved ones and dear friends.

Following cremation, no services are planned.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
