SCRANTON, Donald G. (1938 – 2019)

Mr. Donald G. Scranton, known as Ol Gib Sun, of Elkton, formerly of Lexington, passed away Tuesday morning, October 1, 2019 at the Saint Thomas West Hospital in Nashville, TN.  He was the son of the late Donald Wood and Marion Stevens Scranton born in New Haven, CT.

Donald was a former computer development manager with Parker Hannifin Corporation and a member of the Revival Tabernacle Church in Lexington.  Following his retirement, he moved to Elkton where he enjoyed working as a Christian radio disc jockey.  He was a member of the Nashville Steel Guitar Association and the Broadcast Music Inc.

Survivors include several loved ones and dear friends.

A graveside service will be conducted in the Blue Grass Memorial Gardens in Nicholasville Wednesday, October 9 at 1 P.M.

Friends may call at the cemetery Wednesday prior to the service time.

Expressions of sympathy may go to the Revival Tabernacle Church in his memory.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
