Mr. Glenn E. Sanders, 68, of Swan Lake, passed away Saturday morning, June 13, 2026 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington. He was born March 30, 1958 in Corbin, the son of the late Eugene and Josephine Gray Sanders.
Glenn was a mechanic and of the Pentecostal faith. He was a simple man who enjoyed working on cars, hot rods and pick-up trucks. He also enjoyed listening to music and watching westerns.
On January 17, 1979, he united in marriage with Elizabeth Roark and to this union two children were born.
Survivors include his loving children, Bernice Griggs and husband, Sloan, of Frankfort and Morgan Sanders and fiancé, Adam Gray, of Barbourville; sisters, DeDe Sanders of Swan Lake and Alice Parker of Corbin; a brother, Carl Sanders of Corbin; treasured grandchildren, Joshua, Matthew, Blake, Lilly, Alivia, Adam II and Gunner; great grandchildren, Rosalee, Harperleigh and Jonathan; among other loved ones and dear friends.
His funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Thursday, June 18 at 2 P.M. with Rev. Ted Eversole officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Sanders – Israel Cemetery.
Casket bearers will be Adam Gray, David Pope, Blake Hatfield, Josh Tuttle, Matthew Howard and Carl Sanders.
Friends may visit at the funeral home Thursday after 12 Noon until the funeral hour.
