ROSS, Patsy H. (1951 – 2019)

Ms. Patsy Ellen Ross, 67, of Barbourville, passed away Tuesday afternoon, July 30, 2019 at the Barbourville ARH Hospital.  She was the daughter of the late Artemus and Bessie Helton born on October 15, 1951 in Corbin.

Patsy was a former Tru-Seal employee and a member of the Artemus First Baptist Church.  She enjoyed tending flowers and working in the yard.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband, Ronald Keith Ross; a son, Ronald Jason Ross; two sisters, Arvilla Miller and Loretta Cox and three brothers, Gorman, Ralph and Gary Helton.

Survivors include two children, Lisa Marie Hyde of Richmond and Penny Elaine McWilliams and husband, Jack, of Barbourville; two sisters, Marcella Earls of Corbin and Drucilla Williams of Dayton, OH; three brothers, Danny Helton and Reed Helton both of Georgetown and Earnest Helton of Barbourville; five grandchildren, Allison Marie McWilliams, Jaxon Keith McWilliams, Katherine Marie Hyde, Genna Claire Hyde and Jaxson Douglas McWilliams; among other loved ones and dear friends.

Her funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Saturday, August 3 at 2 P.M. with Rev. Keith “Buster” Liford and Rev. Ronnie Owens officiating.  She will be laid to rest in the Barbourville Cemetery.

Casket bearers will be Jaxon McWilliams, Jimmy Ray Garland, Josh Helton, Alex Peyton, Jimmy Garland and Jack McWilliams.  Honorary bearers will be Wilbur Bingham, Butch Mays, John Anderson, Merrill Mills and the staff of Barbourville ARH Hospital and Barbourville Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday after 12 noon until the funeral hour.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
