Mrs. Sylvia “Troy” Roark, 89, of Taylor, MI, formerly of Knox County, the widow of Homer Roark, passed away peacefully at her home Saturday, May 7, 2022. She was born May 12, 1932 at Simms Fork to the late Richard and Rosie Cox.
Troy was a life-long resident of Detroit, MI and enjoyed cooking and baking for family and friends. She was also a casino lover and enjoyed working in her yard.
Loving mother of late Laymon (Karen), Lonnie (Barb), Sandra (Sam), Karen (Henry), Linda (Jerry), and Homer (Tricia). Loving grandmother of Lance (Jodi), Joseph, Jim (Nicole), Steve (Aimee), Kari (Rich), and Gillian. Loving G.G. of Alex, Avery, Drew, Cecelia, Dylan, Addison, Richard, and Laine. Loving sister of brother, John (Sallie) and was sadly preceded in death by her brothers Bill, Bob, and Jimmie. Loving sister of Chelsea (Lark) and was sadly preceded in death by her sisters Myrtle, Tressie, and Geraldine. Lastly, she was loved by many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral service will be conducted at the Allen Park Chapel of the Martenson Family of Funeral Homes Saturday, May 14 at 10:30 A.M. Burial will follow in the Woodmere Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Allen Park Chapel of the Martenson Family of Funeral Homes Friday between 1 and 8 P.M. and Saturday between 9 and 10:30 A.M.
