Mrs. Lois E. Riley, 94, of Dayton, OH, passed away Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at her home.  She was the daughter of the late Richard Alonzo “Bon” and Belle Logan Lay born on June 17, 1929 at Lay.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-mother, Dessie Lay; a sister, Joann Copeland and husband, Jim; former husband, Leslie Durham and five infant siblings.

Survivors include her loving husband of 52 years, Virgil Riley; a daughter, Susan Durham; step-children, Lisa Crabtree and husband, Joe, Robert “Bobby” Riley and wife, Trish, and Leslie Beaty and husband, Kenny; sisters, Mary Belle Torres and Bonnie Moore and husband, Wayne; a brother, Richard Lay and wife, Michelle; eight grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; among other loved ones and dear friends.

Her funeral service will be conducted at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home in Vandalia, OH Wednesday, June 28 at 1 P.M. with Chaplain Duane Davis officiating.  She will be laid to rest in the Miami Valley Memory Gardens.

Friends may visit at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home Wednesday after 12 Noon until the funeral hour.
