Mrs. Imogene M. Riley, 76, of Heidrick, passed away Wednesday evening, September 21, 2022 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset.  She was the daughter of the late Cecil and Elsie Smith Mills born on October 23, 1945 in Knox County.

Imogene was a former seamstress with Warner’s, a bus monitor with Knox County Schools and a member of the Horn Branch Baptist Church.  She also enjoyed tending her flowers, sewing, taking rides and loved being at home.

On March 23, 1964, she united in marriage with Douglas Riley and to this union a daughter was born.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas, and a sister, Cecileen Burton.

Survivors include her loving daughter, Shelia Fisher and husband, Tim, of Heidrick; a sister, Justine Asher of Clay County; brothers, Leroy Mills of Cannon, Ernie Mills and wife, Gwendolyn, of Woollum and Otis Mills of Bailey Hollow; a treasured granddaughter, Lora Beth Warren and husband, Travis; two great grandchildren, Ezekiel Kent Warren and Zackery Warren; among other loved ones and dear friends.

Her funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Sunday, September 25 at 2 P.M. with Rev. Jerry Vaughn officiating.  She will be laid to rest in the Nan Riley Cemetery.

Casket Bearers will be Andrew Asher, Wayne Fisher, Colby Sams, Ricky Trent, Jake Fisher and A.J. Fisher.

Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday after 12 Noon until the funeral hour.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
