Mr. James Daniel Dean Priddy, 21, of Bimble, passed away Saturday evening, June 6, 2026 in Laurel County.  He was born April 8, 2005 in Pineville, the son of Sandy Allen Rice and Cynthia Lynn Priddy Scott.

James was a self-employed mechanic and believed in the Christian faith.  He enjoyed working on cars, fishing and playing Xbox and other games.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jerry Rice, Jackie Howard and Perry Dean Priddy.

Survivors include his parents, Sandy Allen Rice and Cynthia Lynn Priddy Scott and husband, Jason, all of Barbourville; grandmother, Anna Lawson and husband, Jessie, of Barbourville; siblings, Gavin Scott, Gracie Scott, Matthew Priddy, Makayla Priddy, Jaxon Scott and Peyton Scott; aunts and uncles, Julie Lawson and husband, Tommy, Emily Lawson, Stephanie Adams and husband, Philip, and Tiffany Lawson and boyfriend, Jacob Beverly; a niece, Ellie Scott; great uncle, Donald Brooks and wife, Charlene;  several cousins, Tommy James, Joseph, Jacob, Amy, Neveah, Nathan, Noah and Nora Lawson, Aliannah and Addison Jones, Paige Brooks, Caseylynn Mills and Avery Mills; among other loved ones and friends.

Funeral services for James will be private.

Casket bearers will be Jessie Lawson, Matthew Priddy, Gavin Scott, Sandy Rice, Kevin Jones, Joseph Lawson, Jacob Lawson and Jacob Beverly.
