Mr. Edwin R. “Rick” Pierce, 75, of Girdler, passed away Friday morning, July 3, 2026 at his home. He was born October 17, 1950 in Bessemer, AL, the son of Eleanor Bachmaier Pierce and the late Edward Marion Pierce.
Rick was a former mixer with Tremco, a member of the United Steel Workers and of the Baptist faith. He was known to be a private man who enjoyed woodworking, sports, reading and family game nights.
On April 4, 1992, he united in marriage with Carlene Ledford.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by sisters, Kathy and Teresa.
Survivors include his loving wife, Carlene Pierce of Girdler; his mother, Eleanore Pierce of Corbin; children, William Burnette and wife, Julie, of Cannon and Brandon Jackson and wife, Michelle, of Bimble; a brother, Eddie Pierce and wife, Robin, of Corbin; cherished grandchildren, Jonathan Singleton and wife, Karena, Jackson Burnette and wife, Jaydne, Karlie Jackson, Dylan Burnette and Caiden Jackson; great grandchildren, Ryland, Raelynn, Ella and Colton; a bonus granddaughter, Emily Warren; a sister-in-law, Darlene Mooneyham and husband, Wade; among other loved ones and dear friends.
No services are planned at this time.
