PATTERSON, Kenneth Lee (1950 – 2019)

Mr. Kenneth Lee Patterson, 68, of Barbourville, passed away Saturday afternoon, May 25, 2019 at Baptist Health Corbin.  He was the son of the late Bill and Ollie Cooper Patterson born on December 25, 1950 in Barbourville.

Kenneth was a former forklift operator and a member of the Beech Springs Missionary Baptist Church.  He enjoyed fishing, playing several musical instruments and was a member of The Soul Winners.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Melissa Patterson Mills; a son, William Kenneth Patterson and a brother, Billy Patterson.

Survivors include four children, Jeff Patterson of Bimble, Chris Patterson and wife, Sylvia, of Artemus, Regina King and husband, David, of Siler and Shane Patterson of Barbourville; four step-children, Gina Allen, Misty Mills, Kristy Robbins and Chasity Collins; three sisters, Shirley Kelly of Louisville, Carolyn Grubb and husband, Bobby, and Linda Edwards all of Barbourville; three brothers, Roy Patterson and wife, Mary, of Macon, GA, Paul Patterson and wife, Carolyn, of Bimble and Gary Durham of Indian Creek; 16 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; among other loved ones and dear friends.

His funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Wednesday, May 29 at 1 P.M. with Rev. Jerry Smith and Lonnie Lockard officiating.  He will be laid to rest in the Davis Cemetery.

Casket bearers will be his grandsons.

Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday between 6 and 9 P.M. and Wednesday prior to the funeral hour.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
