PARTIN, Deborah L. (1961 – 2019)

Mrs. Deborah L. Partin, 58, of Bronston, formerly of Barbourville, passed from this life on Thursday evening, October 3, 2019 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington after an extended illness.

She was born on August 14, 1961 in Barbourville, the daughter of the late Earsel and Helen Christine Hinkle Cole.

Deborah became a Christian and a member of the Cole’s Branch Baptist Church.  Later in life, she moved her letter to the River Baptist Church.  She loved playing the piano for the congregation and participating in all church activities.

She was a 1979 graduate of Knox Central High School.  She earned her practical nursing license from Cumberland Valley Health Occupation Center in Pineville.  Later in1994, she earned her Associate of Science in Nursing from Lincoln Memorial University and a Bachelor of Science degree from Union College in 1996.

Deborah had compassion for others and enjoyed her career in the health care field.  She spent 15 years as an employee of the Barbourville/Corbin Family Health Centers and until her retirement in 2012 was the clinic manager for Dr. Anantha Krishna’s cardiology office.  She enjoyed the friendship and fellowship of the physicians, co-workers and patients.

On March 3, 2001, she united in marriage with Will Edward Frank Partin who preceded her in death on December 3, 2015.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her beloved sisters, Patricia Ann Cole of Barbourville, Cheryl Meadows and husband, Dan, of Parkers Lake and Dena Cole-Welsh and husband, Rob, of Berea; her beloved brothers, Earsel Duane Cole and wife, Viola, of Hammond, Donald Ray Cole and wife, Karen, of Lexington and Michael Steven Cole and wife, Gina, of Barbourville; her aunt, Jackie Hinkle Privett Creekmore of Benton, SC; her mother-in-law, Edna Partin of Barbourville; among many other nieces, nephews, great nieces, cousins, special caregivers and dear friends.

Her funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Sunday, October 6 at 3 P.M. with Rev. Jimmy Siler officiating.  She will be laid to rest in the Mills Cemetery.

Casket bearers will be Ben Meadows, Joshua Michael Cole, Rob Welsh, Jack Partin Jr., Billy Paul Partin, Nicholas Cole and Johnny Broughton.

Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday after 1 P.M. until the funeral hour.
