Mrs. Bonnie Sue Parker, 73, of Barbourville, passed away Sunday morning, March 22, 2026 at the Barbourville Health and Rehabilitation Center.  She was born May 30, 1952 in Knox County, the daughter of the late Richard and Bernice Jordan Broughton.

Bonnie was a former nurse with the Knox County Health Department and a member of the Dripping Springs Baptist Church.  She enjoyed traveling and camping.

Survivors include her children, Lubrina Burton and husband, Michael Schliesman, of Lexington and Joshua Burton of Corbin; a sister, Connie Back of Lexington; brothers, Rev. Ricky Broughton and wife, Ann, and Randy Broughton and wife, Annette, all of Cannon; a grandson, Carter Burton; among other loved ones and dear friends.

No services are planned at this time.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
