OWENS, Timothy Raymond (1961 – 2019)

Mr. Timothy Raymond “Red Eye” Owens, 58, of Gray, passed away Sunday, June 9, 2019 at his home.  He was the son of Violet Marie Frye Owens and the late Raymond Owens born on January 27, 1961 in Barbourville.

Timothy was a tree trimmer, a member of the Richland Christian Church and the Williamsburg Lodge 490 F & AM.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a nephew, Kenneth Ray Jarvis and his grandparents, J. T. and Sarah Owens and Dan P. Frye Sr.

Survivors include his mother, Violet Owens of Gray; two sisters, Tina Owens Napier and Tammy Owens Hollin and husband, Marty, all of Gray; three brothers, Tony, Thomas and Travis Owens all of Gray; his grandmother, Hazel Blankenship of Gray; among other loved ones and dear friends.

His funeral service will be conducted at the Richland Christian Church Friday, June 14 at 2 P.M. with Bro. Wiley Smith and Rev. Don Farmer officiating.  He will be laid to rest in the Raymond Owens Cemetery.

Casket bearers will be Marty Hollin, Nick Hollin, Joe Hollin, Tony Owens, Tommy Owens, Travis Owens, Justin Owens and Billy LeFevers.  Honorary bearers will be Rev. Jim Ballard and Paul Owens.

Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday between 6 and 9 P.M. and at the church Friday after 12 noon until the funeral hour.  A Masonic service will be held at the funeral home Thursday at 8:00 P.M.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
