Mrs. Judy Ann Owens, 72, of Barbourville, passed away Wednesday morning, February 19, 2020 surrounded by her family, as she left this life to meet Jesus.  She was the daughter of the late Kenzie and Archie Lee Deese Driggers born on March 25, 1947 in Bennettsville, SC joining nine other brothers and sisters including, Earl Driggers, Harold Driggers, Kenzie Driggers Jr., Lesney Anderson, Virginia Beam, Mary Hurley Stafford, Carolyn Dial, Sarah Self and Cindy Honeycutt and step-siblings, Jackie Driggers, Randy Hewitt and Candice Barnes.

Judy was affectionately known as “Mamaw Judy” to many children throughout the years while she provided childcare for the community she loved so much as the owner and operator of Tarry Here Daycare.  She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, a devout Christian woman and a member of the Parkway Baptist Church.  Judy lived to take care of others and she did it well.  She enjoyed cooking, painting, taking trips to the beach, but most of all loving and providing for her family.  Judy will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

On June 27, 1966, she married the love of her life, Roger Dale Owens and to this union four children were born.

She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Roger Dale Owens; four dearly loved children and their spouses, Rodney and Sherry Owens, Sabrina and Dewayne Henson, Meleasa and David Hensley and Chene and Jill Owens; ten grandchildren, who were her pride and joy, Hannah, Chase, Dale, Chad, Savannah, McKinlee, Trey, Tori, Max and Mia; two great grandsons she dearly loved, Colton and Jagger; among other loved ones and dear friends.

Her funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Friday, February 21 at 11 A.M. with Rev. Jerry Vaughn and Rev. Charles Henson officiating.  She will be laid to rest in the Owens Cemetery.

Casket bearers will be Chase Henson, Chad Henson, Matthew Owens, Dale Owens, Trey Owens, Zachary Cain and Max McWilliams. Serving as honorary bearers will be Colton Trace, Jagger Paul and Kenzie Driggers.

Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday between 6 and 9 P.M. and Friday prior to the funeral hour.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
