Mr. David Aron Kendall, 54, of Barbourville, passed away Wednesday afternoon, October 14, 2026. He was the son of the late Charles “Mack” and Dora T. Partain Kendall born February 23, 1972 in Hampton, VA.

David was an equipment operator and attended Beacon Baptist Church. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed traveling. He most cherished time spent with his family.

On April 10, 2010, he united in marriage with Tara Shavonne Garrison.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Robert Kendall.

Survivors include his wife, Tara Shavonne Kendall of Barbourville; sons, Skyler Ryan Kendall, Dawson Garland and wife, Amber, and Connor Garland and Shelby all of Barbourville; daughters, Mickayla Shaye Kendall and Christina Kendall Gozdecki and husband, Brandon, all of Arizona; cherished grandchildren, Hazel Farr, Baylee Knoll and Madilynn and Robert Gozdecki; brother, Duane Kendall of Indiana; among other relatives and dear friends.

His funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Monday, October 19 at 12 Noon with Rev. Pat Chesnut officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Tanyard Cemetery.

Serving as casket bearers will be Landon Brearley, Bobby Garland, Cody Kendall, Tyler Kendall, Joseph Garrison and Adam Townsley.

Friends may visit at the funeral home Monday after 11 A.M. until the funeral hour.
