Mrs. Shirley Ann Kelly, 77, Louisville, passed away Thursday morning, May 27, 2021 at Baptist Health Louisville.  She was the daughter of the late William and Ollie Cooper Patterson born on December 5, 1943 in Knox County.

Shirley was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.  She loved working puzzles, playing bingo and enjoyed watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy.  Above all else she was dedicated to loving and caring for her family.

On October 1, 1966, she united in marriage with Lee V. Kelly and to this union two children were born.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lee, and two brothers, Billie and Kenneth Patterson.

Survivors include her beloved children, Freddie Kelly and wife, Rita, and Sherry Roth and husband, J. P., all of Louisville; two sisters, Carolyn Grubb and Linda Edwards; three brothers, Roy and Paul Patterson and Gary Durham; three treasured grandchildren, Kara Kelly, Peyton Coleman and Jenna Kelly; a close family friend, Joe Coleman; among other loved ones and dear friends.

Her funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Tuesday, June 1 at 2 P.M. with Rev. Rick Thomas officiating.  She will be laid to rest in the Barbourville Cemetery.

Casket bearers will be family and friends.

Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday after 11 A.M. until the funeral hour.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
