Mr. Ricky Jordan, 61, of Callebs Creek, passed away Monday morning, May 6, 2024. He was the son of the late Gaston and Gladys Smith Jordan born on August 16, 1962 in Knox County.
Ricky was a carpenter and drywaller and a member of the Dripping Springs Baptist Church. He enjoyed riding his four-wheeler, gardening, hunting and hanging out with his friends and known to be the life of the party.
On October 31, 1981, he united in marriage with Imogene Bargo and to this union two children were born.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Imogene Jordan; sisters, Donna Price and Phillis Jean McBee and brothers, Wiley, Clifford and Ewell Jordan.
Survivors include his loving children, Heather Davis and husband, Shane, and Justin Jordan and wife, Kadi, all of Barbourville; sisters, Jeanette Townsley of Hinkle, Vina Price and husband, Terry, of Hinkle and Janice Rouce and husband, Jack, of Hamilton, OH; brothers, Dennis Jordan and wife, Carla, of Bimble and Randall Jordan of Hinkle; treasured grandchildren, Alex Gray and fiancé, Erica, Danni Beth Jordan, Gavin Jordan, Emily Davis and fiancé, Paxton, and Tyler Davis and wife, Tory; one great granddaughter; sisters-in-law, Flo Jordan, Carlene Abner and Darlene Montgomery; special friends, Bill Wilson and Tim Smith; among other loved ones and dear friends.
His funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Sunday, May 12 at 2 P.M. with Rev. Roger Liford, Rev. Ricky Broughton and Rev. Vernon Morris officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Callebs Creek Cemetery.
Casket bearers will be Ewell “Bull” Jordan, Joshua Jordan, John Bargo, Jacob Abner, Darren Broughton, Farrel Riley, Adam Callebs and Doug Smith.
Friends may visit at the funeral home Saturday between 6 and 9 P.M. and Sunday prior to the funeral hour.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
