Mr. Billy Ray “Rifleman” Jordan, 61, of Woodbine, passed away Monday afternoon, March 30, 2020 at Baptist Health Corbin.  He was the son of the late James Denver and Margaret Ann Gross Jordan born on January 12, 1959 in Norwood, OH.

Billy Ray was a former auto mechanic and of the Baptist faith.  He enjoyed tinkering with cars.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Sue Jordan and two brothers, Ronald Wayne and David Lee Jordan.

Survivors include seven children, Amy Lynn McKeehan of London, Jennifer Marie Jordan and fiancé, Alex Broughton, and Mary Ann Smith all of Barbourville, Norma Rae Brock and Marty Smith of Girdler, Laura Mae Roark and husband, David, of Flat Lick, Amanda Askins and Johnny Ray Jordan and fiancé, Rebecca Jones, all of Woodbine; two sisters, Dorothy Ann Jordan of Barbourville and Linda Sue Vandall and husband, Frankie, of East Bernstadt; a brother, Harold Gene Jordan and wife, Jennifer, of Gray; 18 grandchildren; his beloved pet, Pee-wee; among other loved ones and dear friends.

A private family funeral service will conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Thursday, April 2 with Rev. Pete Clark officiating.  He will be laid to rest in the Hammons Cemetery at Girdler.

Casket bearers will be Frankie Vandall, Harold Gene Jordan Jr., Dylan Broughton, Alex Broughton, Harold Gene Jordan and Johnny Ray Jordan.  Honorary bearers will be the staff of Baptist Health Corbin CCU.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
