Carol M. Jones, 74, went home to be with the Lord in Hamilton, Ohio on September 27, 2021.  Carol was born in Flat Lick on April 14, 1947, the daughter of the late McKinley and Mossie Sizemore Baker.

Carol grew up in Southeastern Kentucky surrounded by the beautiful Appalachian Mountains.  She visited often and especially enjoyed spending time with her sisters catching up on time passed.  She was happiest when she was home and her family was the most important thing to her.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Francine Stempfley; brothers, Clayton, Jesse, and Matt Baker and sisters, Seretta Jackson and Imogene Sizemore.

Carol is survived by a daughter, Melissa Abney and husband, Buddy; a son, Brandon Crane; grandchildren, Jessica Roldan and husband, Carlos, Mindy Sandlin and husband, Dan, Mallory Stempfley, Ryan Abney, Kate Brinck and husband, Chris, and Emma Stempfley; nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Doris Hinkle and husband, Clint, Donna Taylor and husband, Robert, Sharon Biehle and husband, Dale; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends all of whom she loved dearly.

Visitation for family will be from 1 pm – 2 pm on Saturday, October 2nd at the Knox Funeral Home, 325 Knox Street, Barbourville, Kentucky.  Friends are welcome to attend a graveside service at the Gray Cemetery, Sandy Branch in Knox County immediately following the visitation with Rev. Charles Henson officiating.

Casket bearers will be Michael Hinkle, Ron McKinley Garland, Buddy Abney, Maharis Gray, Ryan Abney and Chris Brinck.  Serving as honorary bearers will be Dale Biehle, Clint Hinkle and Robert Taylor.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
