Mrs. Beatrice Jones, 77, of Girdler, the widow of Clifton Jones, passed away Wednesday evening, January 13, 2021 at Baptist Health Corbin.  She was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Georgia Wagers Stewart born on July 26, 1943 in Knox County.

Beatrice was a homemaker and a member of the Horn Branch Baptist Church.  She enjoyed being with her family and friends.

In addition to her beloved husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Wesley Jones; two sisters, Hannah France and Bessie Ann Deaton and a brother, Johnnie Stewart.

Survivors include a sister, Daisy Smallwood of Hazard; a brother and sister-in-law, Bev and Sandy Stewart of Tennessee; a granddaughter, Christina Smith; several great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; among other loved ones and dear friends.

Her funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Monday, January 18 at 1 P.M. with Rev. Owen Smith officiating.  She will be laid to rest in the Hampton Cemetery.

Casket bearers will be family and friends.

Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday between 6 and 8 P.M. and Monday prior to the funeral hour.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
