Mr. Ben H. Johnson Jr., 79, of Williamsburg, formerly of London, passed away Tuesday morning, August 10, 2021 at his home.  He was the son of the late Benjamin H. and Cora Bowling Johnson born on November 12, 1941 in the Langnau community in Laurel County.

Ben was a former assembly line worker in Ohio and of the Baptist faith.  He enjoyed fishing and playing horseshoes.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Margie Gabbard, Lucille Proffitt, Ruby Brown, Rosa Lee Fields, Oma Lee Johnson, Eugene, James and William Johnson.

Survivors include three children, Christopher and Terry Johnson both of London and Diane Johnson of Louisville; a stepdaughter, Marilyn Slusher and husband, Ronnie, of Williamsburg; two step-sons, Michael Frost and wife, Melissa, and Marty Frost all of Gray; siblings, Leonard Johnson of London, Irene Linkous of Ohio and Louise Wagner of London; two grandchildren, Bradley H. and Destiny M. Johnson; three step-granddaughters, Angela Sutton and husband, Scott, Christy Barnes (his favorite) and husband, Jerry, and Julia Bright and husband, Jerry; several step-great-grandchildren; among other loved ones and dear friends.

A graveside service will be conducted at the New Salem Cemetery in Laurel County Saturday, August 21 at 11:30 A.M. with Rev. Cecil Benge officiating.

Casket bearers will be Ronnie Slusher, Jerry Bright, Christopher Johnson and Terry Johnson.

Family members and friends will gather at the cemetery Saturday prior to the service time.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
