
Brenda Honeycutt, 70, of Heidrick, passed away Saturday evening, February 7, 2026 at Baptist Health Corbin. She was the daughter of the late Arthur Clyde and Dorothy Abner Lawson born to them on May 28, 1955 at Artemus.
Brenda was retired from Burger King and found her greatest joy in time spent with her family and grandchildren. She loved dancing, being active in her church, Lighthouse Tabernacle, and shopping, particularly browsing yard sales for hidden gems. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and friend.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers, Charles, Samuel, Jerry and Larry Lawson and sister, Betty Deaton.
Survivors include her loving son, Charles “Chuck” Broyles, of Heidrick; grandson, whom she thought of as a son, Josh Broyles and wife, Sarah, of Laurel County; granddaughter, Joselynn Broyles; great-grandchildren, Audrey and Blakelynn Broyles; sisters, Pauletta Harris and Phyllis Little, both of Barbourville, Wilma Lawson of Erlanger, Shana Elsigian of Allen Park, MI and Shirley Osborne of Brownstown, MI; bonus sister, Belinda Cordell of Corbin; brother, Donny Lawson and wife, Annette, of Artemus; among other relatives and dear friends.
Her funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Thursday, February 12 at 1 P.M. with Rev. Jerry Vaughn officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Barbourville Cemetery.
Serving as casket bearers will be Larry Lawson, Brett Ledford, Kenny Turner, Blake Couch, Chris Ross and JoJo Mills.
Friends may visit at the funeral home Wednesday between 6 and 8 P.M. and Thursday prior to the funeral hour.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
