Mrs. Lovella Lee Hampton, 78, of Artemus, passed away Sunday morning, April 19, 2020 at the Barbourville ARH Hospital.  She was the daughter of the late Robert and Beatrice Warren Lee born on February 19, 1942 in Harlan County.

Lovella was a former secretary with the Knox County Board of Education and of the Pentecostal faith.  She enjoyed working in her yard and tending flowers.

On February 15, 1964, she united in marriage with Allen Hampton and to this union two children were born.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Ann Hampton; a son, Troy Allen Hampton; a sister, Bobbie Corey and three brothers, Donald, Billie Wayne and Tearl Dean Lee.

Survivors include her loving husband, Allen Hampton of Artemus; a niece, Karen Isaacs of Artemus; several other nieces and nephews; among other loved ones and dear friends.

A private family graveside service will be conducted in the Barbourville Cemetery Wednesday, April 22 with Rev. William R. “Man” Cobb officiating.

Casket bearers will be Ted Hampton, Elbert Reed Hampton, John Rex Hampton, Stephen Reed Hampton, Logan Reed Allen Hampton and William Jay Hampton.

A drive-thru visitation will be held at the funeral home Wednesday between 12:00 and 12:30 P.M.  For your safety, we ask that you remain in your vehicle.
