GRUBB, Roy F. (1959 – 2019)

Mr. Roy F. Grubb, 59, of Bryants Store, passed away Monday afternoon, September 16, 2019 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington.  He was the son of the late Forester and Opal Marie Owens Grubb born on October 1, 1959 in Clay County.

Roy was a former sales clerk and a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church.  He enjoyed camping with friends, the outdoors and spending time with his nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Anthony Wayne Grubb and a nephew, Michael Jason McCreary.

Survivors include a sister, Carol McCreary and husband, Terry, of Bryants Store; two brothers, James Grubb and wife, Nancy, of Clarksville, TN and Robert Valentine and wife, Darlene, of Ohio; several nieces and nephews; among other loved ones and dear friends.

His funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Friday, September 20 at 5:30 P.M. with Rev. Don Farmer officiating.  He will be laid to rest in the Owens Cemetery at Gray.

Casket bearers will be family and friends.  Honorary bearers will be his camping community.

Friends may call at the funeral home Friday after 4 P.M. until the funeral hour.

Expressions of sympathy may go to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
