Mr. Kenneth Glenn Gregory, 66, of Woollum, passed away Tuesday afternoon, August 31, 2021 at the Barbourville ARH Hospital.  He was the son of the late Henry Gregory Sr. and Peartie Smith Gregory born on June 29, 1955 at Fount.

Kenneth was a former foreman with the Knox County Board of Education Transportation Department and of the Baptist faith.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing and drag racing.

On June 26, 1974, he united in marriage with Alma Garrison and to this union a daughter was born.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters, Martha “M. B.” Swafford and husband, Arthur, Beatrice Mills and husband, Crit, Ruth Wood and husband, Bobby, and Mary Gregory; three brothers, Earl Gregory Sr. and wife, Esther, Jabe B. Gregory and wife, Bertha, and Ellis Gregory and a sister-in-law, Carolyn Gregory.

Survivors include three children, Stephanie Lynn Gregory Tye of Barbourville, Jasmine Gregory and Kenneth Gregory both of Woollum; two sisters, Esther Lloyd and husband, Charles, of Corbin and Brenda Jones and husband, Earl, of Woollum; a brother, Henry Gregory Jr. of Wollum; two treasured grandchildren, Tyler Augustus Tye and wife, Paula, and Lauren Paije Townsley and husband, Adam; three precious great grandchildren, Peyton Townsley, Kendrick Augustus Townsley and Ellary Kaye Tye; a special niece, Cynthia Jones and other special nieces and nephews; a life-long friend, Tim Garrison; among other loved ones and dear friends.

His funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Monday, September 6 at 2 P.M. with Rev. Tip Smith and Rev. Mickie Smith officiating.  He will be laid to rest in the Gregory Cemetery.

Casket bearers will be Tyler Tye, Jabe Gregory, Danny Gregory, Jacob Gregory, Robert Gregory, Adam Townsley, David Kendall and Eddie Redmon.  Serving as honorary bearers will be Tim Garrison, Keith Garrison, Joseph Garrison, Jamie Gregory, Austin Sizemore, Winston Tye and Michelle Broughton, ARNP.

Friends may visit at the funeral home Monday after 11 A.M. until the funeral hour.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
