FRY, Beatrice DeRhonda (1962 – 2019)

Mrs. Beatrice DeRhonda Fry, 57, of Barbourville, the widow of Gary L. Fry, passed away Tuesday afternoon, September 17, 2019 at the Barbourville ARH Hospital.  She was the daughter of the late Cecil L. and Beatrice Hammons Broughton born on June 13, 1962 in Pineville.

Beatrice was a homemaker and enjoyed listening to music, being outdoors and tending flowers.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Wanda Lou Broughton and Shirley Diane Woodlee; her in-laws, Arthur and Patsy Fry, a brother-in-law, Mike Kunkel and a nephew, B. J. Broughton.

Survivors include her son, Gary Michael Fry and wife, Tiffany, of Fourmile; three sisters, Brenda Sue Queen and husband, Joe, of Morganton, GA, Geneva Brown and husband, Bill, of Edgewood and Cecilene Kunkel of Barbourville; two brothers, Harold Gene Broughton and wife, Sheila, of Bimble and Billy Wayne Broughton and wife, Betty, of Barbourville; a granddaughter, Amelia Fry; among other loved ones and dear friends.

Her funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Friday, September 20 at 2 P.M. with Rev. Dennis Chesnut and Rev. Sylvester Dunn officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Foley-Gray Cemetery.

Casket bearers will be family and friends.

Friends may call at the funeral home Friday after 12 noon until the funeral hour.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
