Mr. Ricky Lee Decker, 56, of Woodbine, passed away Friday morning May 28, 2021 at the Hazard ARH Regional Medical Center. He was the son of Verna Engle Decker and the late Glenn Decker born on September 3, 1964 born in Cincinnati, OH.
Ricky was a former maintenance department employee in Cincinnati and was also a cook at several Cincinnati area restaurants and locally at Sonny’s BBQ and Buckner’s. Some of his favorite past times were skeet shooting, playing darts and thoroughly enjoyed sitting around an outdoor fire. He was a member of the Faith Baptist Church in Wyoming, OH.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Andy and Magline Warfield Decker and Otis and Amie Hubbs Engle.
Survivors include his loving mother, Verna Decker of Woodbine; a sister, Kristina Hensley and husband, Phillip, of Woodbine; a brother, Edwin Ray Decker and wife, Melinda, of Corbin; two nieces, Amie Rios and husband, Christopher, and Mary Paige Decker; a nephew, David Beller and wife, Larissa; seven great nieces and nephews, Abigail, Maddox, Xandria, Xavier, Savannah, Hunter and Bentley; among other loved ones and dear friends.
His funeral service will be conducted at the Indian Gap Baptist Church Sunday, May 30 at 2 P.M with Rev. Randy Johnson officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Wells Cemetery.
Casket bearers will be Christopher Rios, David Beller, Anthony Grant, Andrew Modica and Dustin Sandlin.
Friends may call at the church Sunday after 1 P.M. until the funeral hour.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
