CALLEBS, Byron W. – Courtesy Announcement

Mr. Byron W. Callebs, 63, of Corbin, passed away Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at his home.  He was the son of the late James and Zella Hawn Callebs born in Laurel County.

He had worked in the dietary department at The Heritage and was a U.S. Army Veteran.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, James Callebs and a sister, Helen Disney.

Survivors include his sister, Sue Mills; a nephew, Rodney Disney; four nieces, Sherry Pace, Kimberly Wheat, Jennifer Daniel and Tracy Teague; seven great nieces and nephews; four great-great nieces and nephews; among other loved ones and dear friends.

His funeral service will be conducted at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home in Corbin Saturday, August 10 at 12 noon with Bro. Ernie Robbins and Rev. Paul Simms officiating.  He will be laid to rest in the Hawn Cemetery in Knox County.

Friends may call at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home after 10 A.M. until the funeral hour.
