Mrs. Thelma Wells Brock, 90, of Barbourville, passed away Saturday morning, October 16, 2021 at her home.  She was the daughter of the late Luke Finley and Linda Elliott Wells born on January 9, 1931 in Knox County.

Thelma was a former licensed practical nurse and of the Baptist faith.  In earlier years, she enjoyed quilting and singing with Tip Hinkle, Butch West and Ralph Sheaffer.

She united in marriage with Elmer Rowe and to this union two sons were born.  Later she united in marriage with Jack Brock and to this union a daughter was born.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack; a son, Allen Rowe; three sisters, Geneva Terrell, Elva Jarvis and Leora Brock; two brothers, Dewey and Clifton “Clif” Wells; a granddaughter, Jamie Rowe and a grandson, Gregory Allen Rowe Jr.

Survivors include two children, Roger Rowe and Connie Lynn Brock both of Barbourville; a sister, Zelma Croley of Barbourville; a grandson, Jeremy Brock; two great grandchildren, Jeradon and Jaythan Brock; several nieces and nephews; among other loved ones and dear friends.

Her funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Saturday, October 23 at 2 P.M. with Rev. James Vandy officiating.  She will be laid to rest in the Campbell Cemetery.

Casket bearers will be Gary Blevins, Mike Lambdin, Mike Wells, Jeremy Brock, Jeradon Brock and Steve Elliott.

Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday after 12 Noon until the funeral hour.

The family requests that all visitors wear a facial covering and practice social distancing during the visitation and funeral service.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
