BRIGHT, Geleamon (1935 – 2019)

Mrs. Geleamon Mills Bright, 84, of Bellevue, formerly of Bimble, the widow of Dexter Bright, passed away Friday morning, September 13, 2019 at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood.  She was the daughter of the late Jim Tom and Effie Smith Mills born on January 18, 1935 at Mills.

Geleamon was a former seamstress and of the Baptist faith.  She enjoyed listening to Bluegrass music and attending Bluegrass festivals.  She enjoyed life to the fullest and will be missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Gertrude Gambrel, Vaslean Messer, Daphne Mills and Bernice Grubb; two brothers, O. Q. and J. D. Mills and a grandson, Dennis Ray Bright Jr.

Survivors include a son, Dennis Ray Bright and wife, Debbie, of Highland Heights; a sister, Hazel Gray of Corbin; a brother, Elbert Mills and wife, Edith Lois, of Corbin; a granddaughter, Denise Renee Bright; three grandchildren, Bobby Ray, Dylan and Aalyah Sinclair; several nieces and nephews; among other loved ones and dear friends.

Her funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Tuesday, September 17 at 11 A.M. with Rev. Donnie Mills officiating.  She will be laid to rest in the Lynn Camp Cemetery.

Casket bearers will be Mitchell George, John Hopkins, Dustin Mills, Coy Pigg, Bobby Ray Sinclair and Dylan Sinclair.

Friends may call at the funeral home Monday between 6 and 9 P.M. and Tuesday prior to the funeral hour.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
