Mr. Christopher “Buck” Bowling, 63, of Manchester, passed away Tuesday morning, April 14, 2026 at the Compassionate Care Center in Richmond. He was the son of the late Carlo “C. B.” and Ida Mae Goins Bowling born on February 24, 1963 in Clay County.

Buck enjoyed being out of doors, roosters, fishing and “ginsenging”.  He also enjoyed drawing.  Buck believed in the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Jeanette Asher, Minnie Bonita Baker, Bonnie Smith, Geneva Bratcher, Geraldine Yaden, Jimmy, Kenny, Donny and Cordell Bowling.

Survivors include his sisters, Wendy Fawbush and husband, Mark, of Tazewell, TN and Kathy Sulfridge and husband, Richard, of Knoxville, TN; several nieces and nephews; among other loved ones and dear friends.

His funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Wednesday, April 22 at 1:30 P.M. with Rev. Paula Farmer officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Asher Cemetery.

Casket bearers will be family and friends.

Friends may visit at the funeral home Wednesday after 12 Noon until the funeral hour.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
