Mr. Cleadous Bledsoe Jr., 70, of Barbourville, passed away Saturday morning, September 2, 2023 at the Barbourville ARH Hospital.  He was the son of the late Cleadous Martin and Thelma Mays Bledsoe born on December 20, 1952 in Knox County.

Cleadous was a former welder from Jackson Warewashing Systems and a member of the Free Mission Holiness Church.  He enjoyed playing corn hole, was a UK basketball fan and enjoyed different sports.  He was also known to be a handyman.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Gregory Allen Bledsoe, a grandson and great granddaughter.

Survivors include his three children, Michael Johnson, Shawn Adams and Sanoma Carton; four sisters, Rev. Pamela Bledsoe-Reed, Regina Bledsoe, Bobbie Bledsoe Parker and Dora Bledsoe-Hughes; two brothers, Cornelius and Tony Bledsoe; a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren; among other loved ones and dear friends.

His funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Friday, September 8 at 2 P.M. with Rev. Pamela Bledsoe-Reed. He will be laid to rest in the Rosenwald Cemetery.

Casket bearers will be family and friends.  Serving as an honorary bearer will be Dr. Raju N. Vora.

Friends may visit at the funeral home Friday after 12 noon until the funeral hour.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
