
Mrs. Emilie Bargo, 79, of Girdler, passed away Thursday afternoon, October 14, 2021 at her home. She was the daughter of the late Garrison and Betty Hammons Stewart born on January 8, 1942 in Knox County.
Emilie was a homemaker and a member of the Locust Grove Baptist Church. She enjoyed being a mother, listening to music and AM radio programs and spending time with her beloved dog, Ruby.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Otis and Russell Stewart.
On July 2, 1960, she united in marriage with Denver Bargo.
Survivors include her loving husband of 61 years, Denver Bargo of Girdler; a daughter, Wendi Bargo of London; two grandchildren, Liam Ramey and Kalani Garrett expected to arrive in February; among other loved ones and dear friends.
Her funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Thursday, October 21 at 1 P.M. with Rev. Lonnie Collett officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Hammons Cemetery at Girdler.
Casket bearers will be family and friends.
Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday between 6 and 8 P.M. and Thursday prior to the funeral hour.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
