Ms. Phyllis Ann Amis, 73, of Barbourville, passed away Tuesday morning, July 28, 2026 at the Barbourville Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was the daughter of the late Albert and Dorothy Sowders Amis born October 26, 1952 at Flat Lick.

Phyllis was a homemaker and of the Baptist Faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Harold and Thomas E. Amis.

Survivors include her sister, Ruth Davis of Corbin and special friend, Lonnie Payne.

Arrangements are pending and will be announced later by the Knox Funeral Home.
