ALSIP, Sheila Ann (1967 – 2019)

Mrs. Sheila Ann Alsip, 52, of Cranes Nest, passed away Friday evening, September 20, 2019 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington.  She was the daughter of Susan Smith Gregory and the late Birchel “Pete” Gregory born on January 22, 1967 in Warren, MI.

Sheila was a bookkeeper with MRK Enterprises (Little Ceasars) and of the Baptist faith.  She enjoyed NASCAR, traveling, spending time with her grandchildren and walking her grandpups.

On May 24, 1991, she united in marriage with Willie E. Alsip.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a grandpup, Beau Drake Wagner.

Survivors include her loving husband, Willie E. “Elmer” Alsip of Cranes Nest; her mother, Susan Gregory of Cranes Nest; two children, Greg Alsip and wife, Crystal, of Cranes Nest and Michelle Wagner and husband, Ryan, of Johns Island, SC; a bonus daughter, Vickie Reid and Jason Ford of Knoxville, TN; a bonus son, Billy Alsip and Jessica Hall of Corbin; a sister, Tammy Yeager and husband, Doyle, of Heidrick; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren; special friends, Bev Chandler, Susie Fight and Donna Guilkey; among other loved ones and dear friends.

Her funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Thursday, September 26 at 1 P.M. with Rev. Brian Hacker and Rev. Seymour Wattenbarger officiating.  She will be laid to rest in the Rough Creek Cemetery in London.

Casket bearers will be Ryan Wagner, Greg Alsip, Dalton Alsip, Dylan Alsip, Lee Alsip, Doyle Yeager, Jason Floyd and Matt Kauffman.  Honorary bearers will be her friends and neighbors.

Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday between 6 and 9 P.M. and Thursday prior to the funeral hour.

Expressions of sympathy may go to an animal shelter of one’s choice in her memory.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
