Mr. Lowell Walker Lundy, 93, of Barbourville, passed away Wednesday morning, July 15, 2026 at his home.  He was born March 24, 1933 in Knox County to the late William R. and Delia Turner Lundy.

Lowell was an attorney, the owner and operator of Lundy Law Office and a former Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney for Bell County.  He was active in numerous clubs and community organizations and a believer in the Methodist faith.

A true outdoorsman, Lowell found great joy in fishing, gardening and spending time in nature.  He was especially proud of growing tomatoes and looked forward to each gardening season.  He also enjoyed riding four-wheelers and treasured the time he spent outdoors.

On May 15, 2001, he united in marriage with Randy Berriochoa.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Randall Lundy and a nephew, Will Lundy.

Survivors include his loving wife, Randy Lundy of Barbourville; children, Ronda Anderson of Barbourville, Margaret Criner and husband, George, of Maine, Dee Lundy of Knoxville, TN, Florence Rymer and husband, Wayne, of Charleston, SC, Dan R. Lundy of South Carolina and Rechelle Gale and husband, Michael, of Tazewell, TN; ten grandchildren; four great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; among other loved ones and dear friends.

Family and friends are invited to gather at the Pine Mountain Lodge Sunday, July 19 at 2 P.M. to celebrate his life.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
