Mrs. Sara Rebecca Dunn, 46, of Clarksville, TN, passed away Sunday morning, June 7, 2026 at the Vanderbilt Medical Center in Clarksville, TN. She was born December 5, 1979, the daughter of David and Connie James.
Sara was a homemaker who had a passion for baking and loved baking cookies for others to enjoy. She was a former phlebotomist and owned Baking Dunn from Scratch. She was a member of the Locust Grove Baptist Church in Clarksville and was devoted to praying and reading her Bible each day and enjoyed sharing her faith with others. Sara also enjoyed thrift shopping, and finding that diamond in the rough, riding horses and playing with her dogs and cats. She served on the National Physique Committee and enjoyed competitive body building, working out and running. She had a heart full of love for all those that came in contact with her. She was a devoted mother to her two sons. Sara was happy with life and will live on in all of our hearts.
On March 10, 2018, she united in marriage with Jeff Dunn in Versailles.
She was preceded in death by a stepson, Jeffrey Dunn II; grandparents, Howard and Alva Kirk and O. B. and Evelyn James; an uncle, Robert Kirk; father-in-law, Alvin Dunn and brother-in-law, Billy Joe Dunn.
Survivors include her loving husband, Jeff Dunn of Clarksville, TN; her parents, David and Connie Kirk James of Joy; mother-in-law, Bonnie Dunn of Barbourville; children, Kirkland Ward and fiancé, Grayson Groves, and Keaton Ward all of Bowling Green; stepdaughters, Devon Frank and husband, Chad, of Leitchfield and Jessica Darst and husband, Christ of Big Clifty; a sister, Jessica James of Joy; a brother, Kirk James and wife, Monica of Joy; cherished grandchildren, Amie, Aaron, Alice, Anna and Alvin Darst and Brylie, Chase, Stiles and Emylie Frank; among many cherished love ones and faith friends who will miss her deeply.
Her funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Monday, June 15 at 2 P.M. with Rev. David Barnard and Rev. Dale Phipps officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Patterson Cemetery.
Casket bearers will be family and friends.
Friends may visit at the funeral home Sunday between 6 and 8 P.M. and Monday prior to the funeral hour.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
