Mr. Calvin Dwayne Hooker, 53, of Hinkle, passed away Saturday afternoon, October 25, 2025 at his home. He was the son of Brenda Goins Hooker and the late Calvin Hooker born July 18, 1972 in Manchester.

Dwayne was a former laborer at Laurel Grocery and a member of the Liberty Baptist Church in Manchester. Dwayne enjoyed fishing, hosting a bonfire with his family and friends and was a devoted UK sports fan. Most of all, he enjoyed time spent with his grandchildren.

On April 1, 2025, he united in marriage with Sharon Hubbard.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by an infant granddaughter, Boston Raine.

Survivors include his loving wife, Sharon Hooker of Hinkle; his mother, Brenda Hooker of Manchester; children, Bryon Hooker and wife, Sable, of London and Brittany Hooker of Manchester; bonus children, Ronnie Hubbard and friend, Brenda, of Harlan, Walter Hubbard and wife, Maggie, of Hinkle and Etta Marie Crawford and friend, Anthony, of Girdler; sisters, Lois Minton of Manchester and Deana Feltner and friend, David, of London; brother, Christopher Hooker and friend, Gillian, of Lexington; grandchildren, Brentley, Paislee, Lakelynn, Paxton, Colby and Kimberlyn; bonus grandchildren, Angel, Courtney, Callie, Abby, Andrea, Walter Jr., Collin and Kaydance; best friend, Matthew Hack; among other loved ones and dear friends who cherish his memory.

His funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Saturday, November 1 at 2 P.M. with Rev. Dewayne Smith officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Etta Smith-Hubbard Cemetery.

Casket bearers will be Walter Hubbard, Walter Hubbard Jr., Ronnie Hubbard, Tyler Minton, Nathan Minton, Michael Kush and Matthew Hack.

Friends may visit at the funeral home Friday between 6 and 9 P.M. and Saturday prior to the funeral hour.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations go to the funeral home to assist with expenses.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
