
Mrs. Benita Mae Vickers, 55, of Corbin, passed away Friday morning, August 1, 2025 at Baptist Health Corbin. She was born June 7, 1970 in Ft. Campbell, the daughter of the late Edward “Joe” and Maggie Lou McDairies Marsee.
Benita was an employee of Makers Pride, a Mary Kay Associate and a believer of the Baptist faith. She found joy in life’s simplest pleasures, taking evening car rides to nowhere and everywhere, a nice ice cream and a good game of rummy. She was known to have a true servant’s heart and would do anything for her family and coworkers. With quiet determination, she once learned a new language in order to better communicate and connect with her coworkers. If you knew her, you loved her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
On June 17, 2018, she united in marriage with Brady Vickers in London.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Eula Mae and Willie McDaries and Provie and Charlie Marsee.
Survivors include her loving husband, Brady Vickers of Corbin; beloved children, Joshua Hubbard and wife, Julie, of Pineville, Jacob Hubbard and wife, Brittany, of London, Joey Hubbard of Corbin, R. J. Hatfield and wife, Chestina, of London and Grace Hatfield of Corbin; sisters, Sharon Graham and husband, Tom, of New Carlisle, OH and Judy Golden and husband, Jimmy Ray, of Barbourville; cherished grandchildren, Macy Hubbard, Christopher Jackson, Jaci, Maxton and Maia Hubbard; parents-in-law, David and Kaye Vickers of London, sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Brittany Adkins of Morehead and Robyn Armstrong and husband, Jesse, of London; nieces and nephews, Rebecca Finney and husband, Jon, of New Carlisle, OH, Katie Hoskins and wife, Billie, of Monroe, OH, Rayle and Jimberly Golden both of Barbourville, Aaron and Dustin Adkins both of Morehead and Jack Armstrong of London; among other loved ones and dear friends.
The family would like to thank everyone, especially her Mary Kay girls, for their love and support during this difficult time.
Her funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Friday, August 8 at 1 P.M. with Rev. Steve Mayle and Rev. Ervin Foster officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Barbourville Cemetery.
Casket bearers will be Brady Vickers, Joshua Hubbard, Jacob Hubbard, Joey Hubbard, R. J. Hatfield, Tom Graham, Jimmy Ray Golden, Chris Jackson and Paul Jackson.
Friends may visit at the funeral home Thursday between 6 and 9 P.M. and Friday prior to the funeral hour.
