Mrs. Sharon Parsons, 78, of Barbourville, passed away Thursday evening, October 2, 2025 at Baptist Health Corbin. She was the daughter of the late James and Isaphene Nickell Deborde born October 27, 1946 in Livermore, KY.

Sharon was a retired bookkeeper with E-K Wood Products and a member of the Roadside Baptist Church. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing gospel songs on her piano, being outdoors and was always up for a shopping trip. Sharon had a green thumb and could often be found tending her garden, where she was known to grow some of the best tomatoes.

In 1964, Sharon united in marriage with Paul Parsons and to this union a son was born.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul, a sister, Pam Pitney and a brother-in-law, Matthew Locke.

Survivors include her loving son, Anthony Parsons and wife, Kathy, of Barbourville; sister, Connie Locke, of Bimble; brother, Josh Deborde and wife, Jill, of Bimble; cherished grandchildren, Valerie Gray and husband, Brent, Jake Bays and wife, Emily, and Destiny Parsons Carr and husband, Dakota; great-grandchildren, Brayden and A.J. Parsons and Sophia, Luke and Granger Bays; among other loved ones and dear friends.

A private graveside service will be held in the Barbourville Cemetery with Rev. Jimmy Rarrieck officiating.

Casket bearers will be her family.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Roadside Baptist Church Youth in her memory.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
