Mr. Charles Alva Miracle, 86, of Barbourville, passed away Friday afternoon, July 11, 2025 at Baptist Health Corbin.  He was born July 22, 1938 at Trosper, the son of the late Elmer Stone and Eula Campbell Miracle.

Charles was a former employee of Delta Gas and a devoted member of the First Baptist Church of Artemus.  He had a deep love for the outdoors, often spending time camping in the Smoky Mountains, at Levi Jackson State Park and along the shores of Myrtle Beach.  An avid golfer and fisherman, Charles found great joy in the simple pleasures of nature and time well spent doing the things he loved.  He faithfully served his country in the Kentucky Army National Guard.

On February 20, 1960, he united in marriage with Janet Sue Warren and to this union a son was born.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Norma Parker; a brother, Earl Leon Miracle and a niece, Tammy Miracle.

Survivors include his loving wife of over 65 years, Janet Warren Miracle; a sister, Lenore Williamson of Florida; a brother, Bill Jack Miracle of South Carolina; special neighbors, Johnny and Marquita Broughton and Charlotte Click and son, Tommy; among other loved ones and dear friends.

His funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Thursday, July 17 at 2 P.M. with Rev. James Vandy and Rev. Dewayne Smith officiating.  He will be laid to rest in the Barbourville Cemetery.

Casket bearers will be Ronnie Moore, Keith Ramsey, Tommy Click, Mark Moran, Ken Smith and Darrin West.  Serving as honorary bearers will be George Stewart, Ricky and Sharon Eaton, Johnny and Marquita Broughton, Vernon Rowland and Charlotte Click.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to his caregivers, Anna Brewer, Milly Mills, Kathleen Broughton, Ashley Simmons and Melissa Mills.

Friends may visit at the funeral home Thursday after 11 A.M. until the funeral hour.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
