
Mrs. Pauline Falconer, 66, of Barbourville, passed away Thursday morning, October 23, 2025 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington. She was the daughter of the late Dewey and Jenelee Hall Gabbard born August 31, 1959 in Pineville.
Pauline was a former secretary at Union College and the former owner of the College Motel, Pauline’s Classic Café and a local thrift store. She was of the Baptist faith. Pauline enjoyed simple, meaningful moments sewing, cooking, playing games on her phone and being a homemaker for her family. She found great delight in family gatherings and spending time with her family, especially her children, grandchildren and fur babies.
On August 31, 2002, she united in marriage with Dennis Falconer in Barbourville.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Otis Gabbard.
Survivors include her loving husband, Dennis Falconer; three sons, Wayne Brock, Randell Brock and wife, Tonia, and Andy Brock and wife, Stacey; two daughters, Anita Smith and Rhonda Smith; beloved fur baby, Sheppy; grandchildren, Robert, Nicole, Wayne, Dalton, Krista, Heavenley, Abby, Adrianna, Elizabeth, Paige, Jeffrey “Bub”, Jessica, Sarah, Lil’ Andy, Anthony, Izabella, Hailey and James “Jimmer”; great grandchildren, Brentley, Oliver, Greyson, Aubrey, Madison, Jaxton, Peyton, Ellie, Indie, Zayden and two expected to arrive soon; a special uncle, Jim VanCleave; special friends, Lori and Mark, Emily North and Becca Clarkston; among other loved ones and dear friends who cherish her memory.
Her funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Friday, October 31 at 2 P.M. with Rev. Ken Merida and Rev. Randy Johnson officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Falconer-Brock Cemetery.
Serving as casket bearers will be Jacob Mills, Lil’ Andy Brock, Jeffrey Slusher, Davonterious Grigsby, Lil’ Wayne Brock and Adam Falconer.
The family would like to offer their sincere appreciation to the staff of the Barbourville ARH Hospital, the University of Kentucky Medical Center and Debbie Taylor for the love and care given to Pauline.
Friends may visit at the funeral home Thursday between 5 and 9 P.M. and Friday prior to the funeral hour.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
